John Schwab Recording Studios

Founded in 1991 by John Schwab (of McGuffey Lane fame), JSR has played host to a variety of local, regional, and national artists, including Slash, Kiss, Styx, Gavin DeGraw, and many, many more. The studio is tucked away on Columbus’ southeast side, away from distractions and within reach of dining, lodging, and downtown entertainment. JSR provides musicians with a comfortable, rustic destination with access to some of the finest equipment and microphones available between Nashville and New York. 
  
Seven isolated rooms across 2,500 square feet are available to accommodate even the most demanding sessions! Our acoustically treated recording and mixing spaces are equally suited to capture a "live" sound or an acoustically neutral recording. All of our studio spaces are wired with top-of-the-line Mogami cables, ensuring that your signal remains as clean and pure as possible. 
  
With a 32-channel Raindirk Symphony console from the BBC in London (one of six like it in the country) as a centerpiece, and a collection of vintage preamps and compressors all routed into Pro Tools Ultimate, our acoustically correct control room allows for an incredible amount of sonic versatility in recording, mixing, and mastering your project!
